With two master’s degrees in Information Technology and Business, and over 20 years of leadership experience with organizations including Hewlett Packard, Aviva Canada, Scotiabank, Intact Insurance, Deloitte, The Co-operators, CAA Insurance, and Capgemini, Priya has the experience to solve complex challenges and deliver results.
As a founder of successful business in GTA , she understands job creation, responsible budgeting, and accountability — skills she is ready to bring to City Hall.

As a proud Highbush resident, Priya founded the Highbush Neighbourhood Association to give Ward 1 residents a stronger voice. She also volunteers with St. Paul’s Food Bank, DARS Pickering, Ajax-Pickering Road Watch, 100 Women Who Care Durham, and Legion Branch 606, serving veterans and supporting the community.
Priya has a proven record of bringing people together to strengthen the community.
As President of the Highbush Neighbourhood Association, she organized the 2026 Job Fair, connecting over 200 job seekers with 13 employers and creating meaningful employment opportunities for local residents.
Priya organized a community food drive at St. Paul’s on-the-Hill Food Bank in December 2025, collecting over 1,000 lbs of food. Inspired by the community’s generosity, she matched the donations, bringing the total contribution to $3,060.

Fiscal Responsibility
- Fight against unreasonable tax increases and bring accountability for public spending.
- Growing our commercial tax base to keep Pickering affordable for families.
Sustainable Development
- Advocate for adequate community spaces and infrastructure for Pickering’s growing population.
- Building a vibrant Pickering while protecting the green spaces we love.
Seniors Advocacy
- Advocate for an effective seniors property tax relief program that supports more seniors.
- Advocate for independent seniors community living spaces that support independence, connection, and quality of life.
Public Safety
- Advocate for traffic calming and street lighting, sidewalks and safe routes on residential streets.
- Create community safety groups that enhance public safety and collaboration with law enforcement.
